West Bengal Travel Guide The name Bengal or Bangla is derived from the ancient kingdom of Vanga or Banga and this name came to denote the entire linguistic region. However, the term West Bengal came only after the partition of Bengal province in 1905, when the British made two separate provinces of West and East Bengal. Nubra valley in ladakh The Nubra is one of the most beautiful Valleys in Ladakh lying on the foothills of mighty Siachen glacier and surrounded by the lofty Karakoram. Snaked by the equally beautiful Nubra river, the Valley is a historical romance, cultural synthesis and a tourist paradise, left in splendorous isolation even today.
