Popular culture enjoys different scenarios of the Armageddon catastrophe and there are many movies, songs and books written on the subject. Baby Baptism: Is It Really Necessary? Baby baptism is probably one of the most widely misunderstood rituals in the Christian (and many other) faiths. Almost all Christian churches practice Baptism in some form or another. Baptism comes from a Greek word baptizo which loosely translated means to dip, a washing or immersion. However baptism for babies is not a practice that was performed by the churches in the first century. Can Society Understand the Bible Today? Many people desire to know more about the Bible. When they try to read it they find it difficult to understand, and at times, a little dry in some portions, as they put it. But the Bible is really not difficult to understand, it just takes some time, and a couple of other factors. But more important, is that the joy that the truths of God's precious Word can give to a person who understands it - are almost beyond belief! Can Society Live By The Bible Today? That Holy Book, called the Bible, is the only Book like it. While many know that it is a holy Book, they do not know exactly what the Bible is, or why it was given. Once those two thoughts can be understood, then we will be able to answer the above question satisfactorily. End of Time: Will What You Believe Matter To God? What is Truth? I pondered this question after finishing my book and I thought what is the answer to that aged old question? One answer that you can count on is that Jesus said that He is truth, (John 14:6). This is pretty straightforward and also an answer that Christianity does not quarrel over. The problem is there are so many different versions of “the truth” you don’t know which one to believe in. End Times: The Antichrist Defined If one was going to consider the primary points about the ''Antichrist'' as they are stated in the Bible, one could only conclude that the Antichrist is not a human being but the widespread disbelief in God. Will War in the Middle East Eventually Begin the Battle of Armageddon? Will history eventually disintegrate into a global holocaust of devastating chaos like many religious people say? Is the present situation in the Middle East that religious folks say are pointing at to give their claims weight? They are insisting that these events have been arranged specifically to forecast the day that Christ will rise up and walk the earth again at judgment. What makes this claim different then what they have asserted repeatedly in the passed? Will the Real Antichrist Please Stand Up? Most of the world believes there is going be some end time battle of Armageddon where the Antichrist will be defeated. I hate to say it but society has been lied to again. Most of the people who are preaching this stuff are preachers who are trying to scare folks to death and the end result is sending in money. Folks feel they should send in more money so these end time doomsayers so they can get the message out to the rest of the world. They are playing on the fears and the goodness of other people. I am here to tell you today that just like there is no boogie man, there is no antichrist. What Real Love Is We are surrounded daily by words. We read them, speak them, hear them, we categorize them, not just by meaning, but implied meaning, good or bad and of course the forbidden four letter words. If you were to count all the “forbidden” fours you would only have a handful of vulgarities that are simply throw away words in our vocabulary. But what about the four letter words that have a deeper meaning that cause our lives to be fulfilled and meaningful? Purpose for Life Sometimes happiness seems out of reach. You struggle and struggle and you can seem to keep afloat. Like swimming in a toilet bowl you go a round and a round and a round until you're finally flushed. Where's Armageddon Most of the world views this end time battle as some catastrophic event that will take place at the end of time. Christ is going to come back to the earth and defeat the Antichrist in this battle. Vernard Eller a retired college professor suggests selling tickets to this battle; it would bring in millions. Matthew Chapter 24 The chapter of Matthew 24 is one of the most misunderstood chapters in the Bible. Most believe that this chapter has to do with our wars, day and age however this is not the case. In fact Billy Graham use to say, “Matthew 24 is knocking at your door.” When trying to understand scripture you must be careful how you apply the message. Trying to make everything in the Bible to fit to these days and times will surely get you into trouble. Differences: The Old and New Testament The Bible is a Book that has two main divisions in - the Old Testament and the New Testament. Even though there are these distinct parts of the Bible - it still has only one theme - redemption. This is necessary to understand because the whole Bible revolves around this theme, and some have said that there is a scarlet thread (of blood) that runs form cover to cover. Is the Bible Reliable The Bible is a Book that is loved around the world. Its followers live in every country and in every climate. Those who read it regularly love its pages and often do not get enough of it. Many even devote their life to the study of it, going after many degrees. But is it a love well-placed, or is it an obvious blind-sidedeness? Is there some real proof that the Bible is reliable? Is it for the people of today? What the New Testament is About The New Testament makes up about one-third of the Bible. It deals with God completing the things that He had promised in the Old Testament. The Bible, which consists of both the Old Testaments and the New, is the story of God at work in the history of mankind to bring about redemption.
