Why not go to Taba by the Gulf of Aqaba?

The Egyptian resort of Taba is not very young. The first hotel, “Taba Hilton” opened its doors much earlier than the first hotels of the world famous Sharm El Sheikh. Now it is standing 100 meters from the boarder and serves to travelers going to Egypt from Israeli Eilat. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce one of the most charming corners of Egypt -Taba resort.
Vacations in Taba will cost you much cheaper than rest at such tourist “giants” as Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. For a long time Taba remained in the shadow, that is why only now it becomes more popular with tourists. Former owners of this land also evaluate Taba. Many Israelis make family car trips to the resort. Specially for those there were inexpensive campings founded in Taba.
Lots of attractions are found in the suburbs of Taba as well as the town itself. Each of them deserves special attention.
The most popular tourist spot is a small Pharaoh‘s Island. During the times of the pharaohs this was a frontier point until sultan Saladin conquered it in 1170 and built his own citadel here. Another version of how the citadel appeared is that it was built by the crusaders. Anyway, now you have a wonderful opportunity to visit this ancient erection. Only 12 kilometres from the city there is a Coloured Canyon. This is the result of several earthquakes. The canyon consists of indented layers of the red sandstone, decorated with intricate ornaments.
Not far from here one can admire such historical spots as Mount Musa (2285 meters above the sea level) and St Catherine‘s Monastery. The mountain is thought to be the place where God gave laws to the Israelites, particularly Moses. To feel the divine spirit and simply enjoy breathtaking views, travelers and believers climb the mountain. Many people start to mountaineer at nighttime and meet the sunrise on the mountain top.
The resort itself is excellent for the whole family. Taba offers comfortable hotels such as Hayatt Taba, Hilton Taba and Marriott. The staff is courteous and the amenities are good, that is why many people spend the whole day within this artificial heaven. There are desert, rocks and sea outside the hotels.
But divers do really like this spirit of wild romance! Their meeting spot is the reef by the Pharaoh’s Island, where they can get lots of emotions and free themselves from the civilized world. Even beginners will feel comfortable here. Alternatively, you can go in for kayaking or yachting, fish or surf. Taba is a small, but very luxurious resort. A visit to this spot is a must for everyone who longs for eastern romance.
