What is Really Vital?
By: Tyler Benson

Nowadays people seem to have everything necessary to live a happy life. We have surrounded ourselves with comfort to enjoy our lives till the last drop. But what is the reason of insomnia, or constant migraines which many people enforce? Why is it normal for a middle-aged person to have a heart attack? We know the answers to these questions, but are afraid to say them out loud. The more humans socialize, the more they are subjected to constant stress that consumes energy faster than the activity of the body. This causes the over-exhaustion of the organism that makes it vulnerable not only to further strains but for diseases and maladies that are extremely dangerous. It is quite time for the society to reconsider the priorities and decide what is really vital for us.

According to investigation held in Africa, where the level of living is extremely low in some countries, some amazing facts can be observed. An average citizen of such a country dies in his sixties naturally, if not killed by revolutions and wars going on in that part of the world. Quite young to die, people may say, but he or she dies happier than a European man for example. He has nothing to be stressed about, all he cares about is to be safe and have food and ceiling over his head. He knows about his basic needs and has no idea about thousands of conveniences and things that developed countries have in large amounts. The first piece of advice from the doctor when you complain on constant headache or insomnia will be to stop worrying and take anti-depressants. The problem is that people never stop worrying. About an assignment that is not yet finished, about the need to redo the kitchen, about the increase of prices, about defaults, about criminals outside, about the weather conditions, about being fired, about political situation and so on. People have nervous breakdown because of these factors, but can one really say what any of them mean to them in life? A crisis on the stock market can become not only a topic for serious research, but also a cause of a heart attack for some extremely sensitive finance agents. Worries that overwhelm you leave no room for activity and development. The mentioned above list is surprisingly long and can be continued endlessly, for each and every one of us has our own worries and spends sleepless nights choking in own thoughts and having nightmares. It is time to define the things that are really worth worrying about.

Nothing horrible will happen if you continue to use your old-fashioned microwave, if you miss the deadline of your essay, if tomorrow will be raining, if prices increase or you are fired. It may sound not convincing, but you’ll get over it. Nowadays we are trained to get used to any circumstances set by the society itself. There is nothing, created by humans that one can not overcome except nuclear weapons. One should worry about health, about food and about stability in life. It is not easy, but possible to find another job, pay bills, use an old-fashioned microwave and sleep in a two-room apartment. Life is too precious to waist it on worries and unimportant matters. The word “enjoyable” means “bringing pleasure and happiness in life”, not only “interesting and profitable”. Live your life to the fullest and stop worrying about trifles that are not going to make any difference in your life and it is really going to improve eventually.
