The weakness lies with us
By: Kaye Z. Marks

The weakness lies with us

If we are weak, we are illiterate, we are unemployed, we are poor, we are without suitable accommodation, we are without suitable clothes, we are not getting proper diet, if we are not getting our desired fulfilled, the fault does not lie with others, rather, we ourselves are at fault and therefore, in stead of finding faults with others, we should conduct an introspection of ourselves. We shall be finding so many weaknesses in ourselves which are damaging our efforts and we are not able to go ahead with our plans.

It is on record that we had been depending upon God for centuries and only those could go ahead who took the responsibilities upon their own shoulders and if at all they were praying before God, they were just praying for help and nothing more. Complete dependency upon God would not work. They understood this concept and most of us could not understand this concept. And at times we having faith in our parents and then on the Governments of the time. Our parents had been trying to help us, but it must be accepted that the governments cannot help the people because they had been having so many other works and that had been the reason most of the people remained in the state where their parents had left them.

The people who are weak and they do not try to rise, would never go ahead. They shall remain where they are because this society around us does not help us. If we going ahead the others around us shall try to win the race, but they would not try to see our victory. When all are present in competition, we too shall have to fight with them and we too shall have to try to go ahead and win the race. When we are in the race, it is our duty to win the race. Lord Krishna was telling to Arjuna to win the race because he had come in the field and his joining the war means, he wanted to win and therefore, when we are in the field, we should try to win and we should not depend upon God and other helpers, but every war shall have to be won alone.

Therefore, if we are weak and poor, the fault does not lie with others, but the fault lie with us. We had been wrong at some stage or our forefathers had been wrong at some stage where they left us weak and poor. A man can attain more riches when he is rich and similarly a man who is poor shall become more poor, but it is very difficult to grow rich. Poverty is a curse and we should try to come out of this and we must see that our children may not suffer the same poverty which we had been suffering. They should be proud of us and may not curse us that we have left them poor and weak.
