More varieties of internet bingo games

One of the advantages of seventy-five number, or American bingo is that it offers more variety. The shape of the card with its five by five grid allows for more patterns than the ninety number version of the game offers. Regular bingo, when playing the U.S. version, is when a player has a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line of five numbers (which can include the free space). Four corners may also be included as regular bingo, depending on the house rules, and the rules vary from place to place. Most of the games in a session of bingo are regular games. Special games can be any pattern. Patterns on the square shaped American cards can be almost anything. There are all different letters or shapes that can be made on the bingo card.

Playing games with these different letters and shapes adds a little variety to the game. The ninety number or British version is played on rectangular tickets three rows and nine columns. There are five numbers on each line with the other places left blank. The game is basically played as one line, two lines or housie. The shape of the ticket does not allow for as many patterns as the American card does. Players should try both versions of the game to see which they prefer. As the numbers are called they appear on the bingo board so the player can check to see if he has missed any of the called numbers. Next explain how the numbers are marked on the card. In America they use colored plastic chips to mark the numbers. In Britain they use markers. The object of the game is to make the required pattern by marking the numbers the bingo caller calls. When you match the required pattern you call out “bingo”. Patterns in the British version are one line, two lines and housie. Patterns in the American version are announced at the beginning of each game. Regular bingo is usually when any one line, vertical, horizontal or diagonal, has been completed.
