IT Spending to Skyrocket by 2010

A new study from Info-Tech Research Group‘s Indaba Division reports declare that by 2010, Annual U.S. enterprise spending on Information Technology (IT) operations and acquisitions will reach $US 1.033 Trillion. This year, the whole non-consumer IT spending is anticipated to increase by 5.24 per cent from $US 840 Billion to $US 884 Billion.

Michael O‘Neil, managing director, Info-Tech Research Group Indaba Division, said that IT spending will get ride at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.32 per cent yearly by 2010, through four prevailing sectors – business services, financial services, government and manufacturing.

This type of pay out in key sectors hover IT storage equipment and software vendors to meet healthy demand in those areas.

To operational spending, $US 625 Billion and to acquisitions, $US 408 Billion will be assigned considering the overall enterprise IT services expenditure of $US 1.033 Trillion in 2010.

O‘Neil said that undertaking of offshore outsourcing within the U.S. industrial sectors by large enterprise had left mesmerizing effect on how their IT budgets will be allocated.

Attributable to operational savings from outsourcing, large enterprises can now definitely heed attention on acquiring advanced technologies to heighten the bottom line of the product and to yield profit from it.
