How much time do you spend promoting your business? Two hours out of six? One hour out of six? Maybe not even that much. No need to feel guilty. Today, through a simple, yet elegant way to promote, you can spend only 5-7 hours a week to get your word out. And youll reach thousands, even hundreds of thousands of your targeted market rather than just a few. Guru Peter Drucker said that only marketing and promoting produce results in business. The rest are costs. I agree. Do you want better results too? Are you Making a Common Mistake? Maybe you are like me when I started and thought, I can only one or two kinds of marketing. I dont know the Internet and Im a non-techie and reluctant to use the net. Some Promotions Work Better than Others While press releases, book reviews, post cards, business cards, networking, appearances on radio and TV, and selling products from the back of the room bring some success, it is usually slow and small. Maybe they didnt bring you the number of clients you wanted. And, they were too much work for just a few book sales. And to reach the right person to book your talks--thats another thing! There must be a better way. The long, tedious, and slow traditional marketing ways left me disillusioned. Then I decided to first get a coach to take my skills to a coaching format. Teleseminars brought me a lot of new clients. Then, a web site guru helped me with sales copy and putting up a web site, I resisted at first. But, I kept going. Part of the journey wasnt easy, but I kept going. When a high school techie became my computer assistant, I learned to promote my books, teleseminars, and coaching Online with article marketing and on the phone through mini sessions. My life suddenly became easier. And the monthly dollar results surprised me--at least triple my present income once I got on 1shoppingcart.com, which automated my 13 book sales and even the coaching and teleseminar sales. To triple and quadruple the first results I practiced a few High Level Activities Online each day. 1. I wrote and submitted a large number of articles as part of my virtual marketing machine to high-traffic web site and article directories like ezine.com. I learned about these from business ezines I subscribed to. This free information and useful content is the key to marketing. Its the law of attraction in motion. Its Mrs. Fields model-give samples of your expertise to get widely noticed and sell the whole thing. I set up my virtual marketing machine- writing and submitting articles to high-traffic web sites. 2. I wrote information products and eBooks that business people needed based on my success model of writing books and advanced article marketing. 3. I wrote a sales letter for each book and service posted on my web site to get more sales conversions. That includes teleseminars, MP3 recordings, teleseminar transcripts, books, my coaching services, and article marketing services. 4. I send a monthly ezine too stay in touch with my audience. In between these, I send articles to inform and offers to those who are ready. This gives people a chance to know and trust me before they buy. When they need bookcoaching or Internet marketing help, they think of me over the countless big dealers out there pitching hard to win your hard earned money, who only want to sell, not educate. Want to Spend Less Time on Promotion? When you follow the advanced article marketing path, youll spend a few hours a week writing articles. Today, search engines will see your 1 article a week and give you a link back to your web site. Ale a low cost article submission service submits them to article directories. This is part of what I call my virtual marketing machine. With as many clients as you need, this small effort is just a few hours a week for you. Hand submission of your articles with a service or an assistant takes care of the rest. Want to Market a Talk? A Seminar? ATeleclass? Coaching or Consulting? Your book? Getting high visibility in cyberspace with free articles is the way. Its worked for six years for your author. Your targeted audience likes them, they visit your site, and see you as the savvy expert. Remember, its free information that gets people to know who you are. It turns out its not who you know, its who knows you. Submitting your free articles answer the call.
