Female Online Bingo Players

There is an increasing amount of female electronic game players, this has normally been the dominion of the young male members of the species, but since the advent of online bingo and gaming in general, the female members of the human race are beginning to out-number the males when it comes to electronic gaming. For instance in the US, it has been found that out of 117 million people who actively play online games, 64% of these are women over the age of eighteen whereas previously it was predominated by boys under the age of seventeen.

The studies that were conducted, found that women were far more likely than men to spend 20 hours per week in playing games online on their PC’s, and they are not playing games such as Solitaire and Hearts, no, bingo is definitely the game of choice, together with various strategy games.

Evidence has shown that women are more attracted to games that socially or mentally rewarding and this is the reason why more women are attracted to the kind of games that incorporate and online community, such as bingo and its chat rooms. Also the most popular games are those that are easy to learn, but difficult to excel at, they enjoy the challenge but cannot be bothered with the complexities of the types of games that men enjoy playing. So word games, number games and casino games including bingo of course are the most popular with female online players, chiefly because they are quick and easy and can be played in short stretches or for hours at a time, essentially female electronic game players need more than action, blood and guts to hold their attention for any period of time.

When looking at these numbers, developers of online games are taking the female online players needs very seriously indeed, but it is a given that bingo type games are always going to come up tops with a female audience. Although, there are number of games that both men and women enjoy, with more men playing online bingo than before, perhaps it is an idea to use women in the game developing industry to find out more about what it is that women want.
