Disruptive technology creates billion dollar markets and make ‘people that can see’ millionaires, just think back to the 70’s with cholesterol do you really think that the Statin drug would have sold any of their products if someone had not produced a machine to measure the level of cholesterol in your body, at $80-100 per month I hardly think so!! In this case the ability to measure created a billion dollar market.

Then there was the digital camera almost completely destroyed the conventional camera market, especially for the general public who could now capture their pictures with out the need to buy any films and download straight to a computer for immediate viewing.
