Well Christmas is nearing and the goose is getting fat and sadly this is not the only bird to get fat if a night of jolly at the office Christmas party turns to an act of folly. Xmas is a time for having fun and getting into the Christmas spirit, however it is the spirits (booze) where most blame lies for many an unwanted pregnancy or STD. The annual office Christmas party is no doubt a time to let your hair down but not your knickers especially if not prepared against catching an STD or fall pregnant. The norm into the New Year is to read the Dear Deirdre page i.e. about how the young clerk or married woman got intimate with the boss or the spotty spectacled Joe Ninety of which they regretted ever coupling with. Why spoil Christmas regretting when its for rejoicing. This killjoy piece of advice is delivered with your best interest at heart; to enjoy this years office Xmas party or whatever festive gathering you have an invitation for, then you must think before you drink. Okay booze does help some people get into the party mood, but hey hold up - doesnt music too. If alcohol swigging is on the agenda then be sensible with the amount of consumption. Drinking in moderation or cutting it out altogether is far healthier for you or that of others if you take the car home while under the influence. Cut down on the ale, stay sober and watch all the other Muppets from the office making the mistakes. The office party is where you get to disrobe yourself of the dress code that connects you to your line of work and dress up in your best finery; because of this, co workers see the real identity of your true self. It is at this point after a few bevvies how a false magnetic attraction leads to body connection where a lustful thought has you seeing the swan and not the ugly duckling. Drinking is all well and good but to much of a good thing is not really the answer to enjoying yourself especially because of the affects it has on the way you think, walk and talk, it can result in you engaging yourself in out of character activities that you would never dream of doing if not fuelled up with booze. So remember think before you drink at this years office Christmas party. Things you can do to stay safe 1 Avoid the jerk intentionally topping your glass with champagne purely because he or she wants their wicked way with you. 2 Drink in moderation; mixing alcohol can upset the stomach hence vomiting over the boss. 3 Do not wear 4 inch heels if under the influence because of balance, i.e. Further to fall if you topple over. 4 Judgemental decisions are easily hampered if you are drunk, leave the car keys at home. 5 If you go out on the pull and pick up a cracker i.e. not one of the Christmas type then be careful, next day vivid images of the night before will have you telling your self you must have been crackers to do what you did. 6 More reason to cut down on the alcohol Hangover What you have to bear in mind is that you may have to return to work the next day and face the people you jollied with at the office Christmas party, can you handle the whispering and glaring looks that you may well be imagining, however you will never know because this is what drink does, it takes your memory too. Remember whats good for the goose is good for the gander. Festive fun is for folk with a Christmas condom
