Are You Saying The Right Things In Your Ads?
By: Kaitlyn Miller

Generating leads for your business is a great task to have. In fact, getting your target readers to read and understand your message spells the difference between being successful in your chosen field or a failure.

And it doesn’t take a genius to know that an excellent copy makes a whole lot of difference in getting you your increase in sales. It’s actually a no brainer that when you want your target readers to purchase from you, you need to give them a compelling reason to do so.

And that’s where your content in your marketing collaterals such as your advertising flyers comes in.

If you want to get the results you want, you need to provide a flyer printing copy that would help you attract leads to your business.

If not, here are a few pointers to help you say the right words to get your leads to consider your business:

Benefits Over Features
Writing your copy in such a way that you mention more of the features of your product rather than your benefits makes it difficult for your target audience to relate to your message. Which do you think is clearer and acceptable – “with engine size of 1 liter and 3 cylinders, and transmission of 5-speed manual, it can go 60km per hour in the city, while 66km per hour in the highway”, or that this car is the top fuel-efficient car that helps you save on gas and money?

When your copy doesn’t actually tell your readers what they would want to hear, it would be difficult for your target clients to keep your full color flyers at all. Will your product be the miracle drug that saves lives, or will your service be able to help them slim down? If you have the benefits, flaunt it.

Education and Substance Over Aesthetics
People are naturally smart and they often go for material that gives them information on the world around them. If you provide them with strong and substantive information rather than mere words, then you’re making it easy for your target readers to digest whatever message you would want to tell them.

Honesty Over Exaggeration
You don’t need to exaggerate if you mean what you say and you deliver what you promised. Advertising has been blown to so much exaggeration that people nowadays are wise to what is real and what is purely promotional. Be honest for a change. Your readers would so appreciate an honest description of what you can do and what you can offer. Get their attention by being real to yourself.

Simplicity Over Excess
How much is too much? I say, anything too much is generally overwhelming and hard to stomach. Too many words in your copy give your readers a hard time to understand and digest what you have to say. Always edit your content to include fewer words without having to lessen the impact of your message.
