ADULT STEM CELLS WINNING ON PURE SCIENCE, (Not On Religious, Political Or Ethical Grounds)
By: Christian Wilde

Even though there have been limits on government funding of embryonic research in America and the UK, neurologist Carlos Lima in speaking before the British Parliament in London England reminded all in attendance that ESC research has been going on unfettered for many years in countries all over the world including China, Russia, Germany and India and still, successful treatments have not been achieved.

In contrast, 72 major diseases are reporting successful treatments resulting from non-embryonic stem cell therapy. Four of the most serious diseases clearly benefiting from adult stem cells are spinal injury, corneal blindness, diabetes and heart failure as hearts damaged from previous heart attacks are being restored. Many remarkable individual patient cases have been documented in the new book, Miracle Stem Cell Heart Repair. Why has the public not been hearing about these miracles?

No one makes the case more succinctly than author/researcher Christian Wilde, as he explains: “If you take the moral, political and ethical concerns off the table, the scientific issues alone confronting ESC research (many scientists agree) are in themselves, daunting. For example, before an ESC can be safely injected into a human being it must be proven safe in an animal study. In cases to date, animal subjects have experienced massive tumor growth and rejection by the body. Scientists are now using growth factors, genes and cell combinations to coax adult cells to effectively function as embryonic stem cells avoiding scientific and ethical issues.

· Wilde reports that the spinal lesions of more than 110 quadriplegic and paraplegic patients already healed after receiving stem cells from their own olfactory sinus. Patients are walking (albeit with braces) following this one time procedure, why is it not front-page news?

· Heart disease is of course the number one killer of Americans and while there is only speculation that one day ESCs may be helpful in treating the heart, Wilde has been following and reporting on the ongoing FDA trials in which “no option” heart failure patients who have survived as many as 5 heart attacks recovered after a one time minimally invasive procedure using stem cells from their own thigh muscle or bone morrow. The first patient Jose Ramirez was injected over 3 years ago after surviving four heart attacks and 11 stents. The FDA has now extended the next phase of the trial to include 400 more patients. Miracle Stem Cell Heart Repair has interviews of many of the stories of recovery as told by the actual patients. Other cures using the patient’s own cells are being used to treat Parkinson’s and diabetes. Eight patients a month in Cincinnati are being cured of corneal blindness and 450 in India. One patient blind for 22 years regained his sight. Why are these miracles not front-page news?

· World leading stem cell scientists contribute. The book’s contributors are the directors of cardiovascular cell therapy from the universities of Columbia, UCSD, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Johns Hopkins, Cedars Sinai Medical Center LA. Wilde reports on this one time minimally invasive procedure success in transforming patients from near death to living functional lives. Jose Ramirez, the first successful patient in the US who survived 4 heart attacks received his cells almost four years ago.
